Privacy Policy
1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
Patrick Stöckmann
Hamburger Kamp 2b
22113 Oststeinbek
Germany
Email: patrick@patrickstoeckmann.de
2. General information on data processing
I only collect and use personal data of visitors to the extent necessary to provide a functioning website along with its content and services. The collection and use of personal data generally only takes place with the consent of the user, or on another legal basis permitted by law.
3. Hosting
This website is hosted by Infomaniak Network SA, Rue Eugène-Marziano 25, 1227 Geneva, Switzerland. Infomaniak processes data on my behalf that is generated when this website is accessed (see section 4). As Infomaniak is based in Switzerland, a country for which the EU Commission has issued an adequacy decision confirming an adequate level of data protection, data transfers there are permitted without additional safeguards (Art. 45 GDPR). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Infomaniak.
4. Server log files
When you access this website, the hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits automatically. These are:
- browser type and version
- operating system used
- referrer URL
- hostname of the accessing device
- time of the server request
- IP address
This data is not merged with other data sources. The legal basis for processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, my legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and security of my website.
5. Cookies and consent management
This website uses one technically necessary cookie to store your selected language (German/English), set by the Polylang plugin. This cookie is required so the website can display content in your chosen language, and is used on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR or § 25(2) no. 2 TTDSG, as it is strictly necessary to provide the online service you explicitly requested. No consent is required for this.
For any cookies that are not strictly necessary (e.g. from the statistics or marketing categories), I obtain your consent before they are used, via a cookie consent tool (Complianz). On your first visit, a cookie banner is shown where you can choose which categories to accept. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the “Cookie Settings” link in the website footer.
I currently do not use any statistics, tracking, or marketing cookies myself; the consent management system is already in place so I can inform you transparently and ask for permission should such services be added in the future. To store your cookie choice, the consent tool itself sets technically necessary cookies (prefix “cmplz_”) on the basis of § 25(2) no. 2 TTDSG.
6. Website caching
To speed up page loading, I use the WP Super Cache plugin, which temporarily stores static copies of pages on the server. No additional personal data is collected in the process; this is a purely technical performance-optimization measure.
7. Fonts (webfonts)
This website uses webfonts (Playfair Display, Work Sans) for a consistent typographic presentation. These fonts are hosted locally on my own server. No connection is made to Google servers or other third parties, and no data is transmitted to third parties as a result.
8. Contact form
If you send me an inquiry via the contact form, the data you provide in the form (name, email address, message text) will be stored and processed by me for the purpose of handling your inquiry and any follow-up questions. The message is delivered by email to patrick.stoeckmann@citc.de, a mailbox I use for processing incoming messages. This data is not passed on to any other third parties.
This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) or, if your inquiry serves to initiate a contract, on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures). The data will be deleted once it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected, generally after your inquiry has been fully processed, unless statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.
9. Your rights as a data subject
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights as a data subject:
- right to access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
- right to withdraw consent given (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
To exercise any of these rights, an informal email to patrick@patrickstoeckmann.de is sufficient.
10. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of personal data concerning you infringes the GDPR. For me, as the operator based in Schleswig-Holstein, this is:
Unabhängiges Landeszentrum für Datenschutz Schleswig-Holstein (ULD)
Holstenstraße 98, 24103 Kiel, Germany
datenschutzzentrum.de
11. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons, and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the lock icon in your browser's address bar and by the fact that the address begins with “https://”.
12. Currency and changes to this privacy policy
This privacy policy is currently valid (as of August 2026). Further development of the website, or changes to legal requirements, may make it necessary to amend this privacy policy.
